Geekett uses Divi. Divi was tested hands-on by Geekett. This review is based on Elegant Themes’ official pricing, product and blog pages, plus the credited videos, tutorials, webinars and podcasts below. Linked third-party content may carry its creators’ own affiliate links or discount codes, which have no connection to WpDesignerMag.

In this Divi review, we look at the Divi 5 theme and visual builder for designers, freelancers and small agencies. It was tested hands-on by Geekett, with facts checked against official documentation and credited reviews. The clearest strength is a one-time lifetime price for unlimited websites. The main trade-off is a busy builder with a real learning curve.

How to read this review. We keep four kinds of information apart:

• Official: facts from Elegant Themes’ own pages, checked on October 12, 2026.
• What the video shows: what Darrel Wilson shows on screen. Only the pricing segment was frame-checked; the rest is the creator’s narration. It was recorded on the Divi 5 beta.
• Creator’s views: opinions from creators and podcast guests, paraphrased and credited.
• Our take: WpDesignerMag’s editorial explanation. It is not a test result.

Divi review: features and fit

This Divi review covers Divi 5, the current version of Elegant Themes’ WordPress theme and drag and drop visual builder. We checked all facts against Elegant Themes’ official website on October 12, 2026. Geekett tested Divi hands-on, and the facts below are checked against official pages and credited reviews.

Official: Divi 5 is a rebuild of Divi. It left beta on February 26, 2026. The latest release listed by Elegant Themes is Divi 5.15.1, released in October 2026 (October 9 per the Help Center; the official changelog lists October 10). Every plan covers unlimited websites.

Our take: Divi suits designers who build many sites and want one tool for pages, headers, footers and templates. The lifetime price is the standout. Plan for time to learn the builder, and test any Divi 4 migration on a copy first.

Feature highlights

All of the following is official, from Elegant Themes’ join page, Divi 5 release post and AI Agent page, unless another source is named.

• Visual Builder: Design pages on the front end, with drag and drop modules and live changes.
• Theme Builder: Design headers, footers and templates for groups of pages.
• Design system: Design variables and presets let you set colors, fonts and styles once and reuse them.
• Layouts: Divi 5 adds Flexbox-based layouts and nested groups.
• Divi 5 Migrator: Converts Divi 4 content and stores a backup. Divi 5 updates are opt-in, via “Enable Divi 5 Updates” in the Divi dashboard.
• Divi Dash: Included on every plan. Check the join page for the full feature list.
• Divi Quick Sites: AI-assisted starter sites, listed under Divi AI. Check which parts work without Divi AI.
• Pro services: Divi AI (unlimited, but this “does not apply to AI Agent usage”), $60 a year of AI Agent spend, Divi Cloud storage, Divi VIP support “in 30 minutes or less”, and 4 Divi Teams seats.
• AI Agent: Needs Divi 5. Use beyond the included spend is charged at token cost “to which we add a small markup”.

Plan comparison

Official, from Elegant Themes’ join page and AI Agent page, checked October 12, 2026. Prices in USD.

Divi AI on its own: $193/yr ($16.08/mo), or $21.36/mo billed monthly. The AI page says Divi AI is discounted “For A Limited Time” and costs “as little as $7 per month when you purchase Divi Pro”.

Savings figures don’t match. The Pro card says “Save 69%” and “Save $611”. The page FAQ says Pro is “saving you 58%”. Lifetime + Pro says “Save 72%” and “$1,048 value”. These are vendor marketing comparisons, and they conflict, so we don’t repeat them as savings claims.

Renewal: The join page shows yearly prices but doesn’t state a separate renewal rate, so check before you renew.

How the features help

Our take, based on official information. Results still depend on your hosting, content and how you build.

• Many sites, one price: Unlimited websites on every plan suits freelancers and agencies.
• Consistent design: Variables and presets keep colors and fonts the same across a site.
• Whole-site control: The Theme Builder handles headers, footers and templates without code.
• Long-term cost: The one-time Lifetime price can cost less than yearly billing over time.

Featured review video

Well, Lets take a look at Divi Theme 5.0, by Darrel Wilson. Published November 14, 2025. Length: 15:56.

Please note: this video was recorded on the Divi 5 beta. Divi 5 has been stable since February 26, 2026, and is now at version 5.15.1. His interface complaints may be out of date.

What this video is (our take): A hands-on walkthrough of the Divi 5 beta. His description has his own Divi link, so an affiliate relationship is likely; we don’t share it. We rate our confidence in it as medium. He balances praise with real criticism.

Why it’s worth watching (our take): It shows the Divi dashboard, the migrator, the builder, Flexbox groups and the pricing page.

What it shows (approximate times from auto-captions and chapters):

• ~1:03: Getting started and uploading Divi.
• ~1:36: The Divi 4 to Divi 5 migrator.
• ~3:27: The visual builder.
• ~6:19: Modules and settings.
• ~9:23: Flexbox and groups.
• ~13:53: Pricing and the lifetime deal. The researcher frame-checked the pricing page at ~14:40.

Darrel Wilson’s view (paraphrased): He finds the builder faster and “snappier” than before, and calls the Theme Builder one of the best. He calls the lifetime price a big selling point. He criticizes popups that block the canvas, alphabetical module lists, too many options, a confusing Flexbox setup and a layout glitch. He said the beta wasn’t ready for a stable release. These UI complaints are from the beta and may be outdated. We haven’t confirmed whether they still apply in 5.15.1.

Where the video differs from official information.

1. Release status: The video shows a beta. Officially, Divi 5 is stable and at 5.15.1.
2. Live demo: He says you can try Divi 5 on a live demo. We couldn’t confirm the demo is still offered.
3. Prices: His on-screen prices ($89/yr, $277/yr Pro, $249 Lifetime) still match the official page.

Best for / May not suit

Best for (our take, from the official feature list):

• Freelancers and agencies building many client sites, thanks to unlimited websites.
• Designers who want visual control over pages, headers, footers and templates.
• Long-term buyers who prefer one payment to yearly fees.

May not suit (our take):

• Complete beginners in a hurry. Several creators describe a learning curve and many options.
• Anyone wanting AI tools on a budget. AI is not in Divi or Divi Lifetime.
• Sites with complex Divi 4 builds or many third-party Divi plugins. Migration needs testing first.

Things to know before you buy: Divi 4 or Divi 5?

• Official: Divi 5 updates are opt-in. Existing Divi 4 sites don’t switch automatically.
• Official: Divi 4 support was first set at six months: the January 14, 2026 post “Divi 5 Official Release Date” promised support “for at least an additional six months after the official release of Divi 5”. On February 26, 2026, the release post extended this to “at least the next 12 months, and longer if practical”, so until at least late February 2027.
• Our take: Start new sites on Divi 5. For an existing Divi 4 site, test the migrator on a staging copy and keep a backup.

Pros and cons

Quick summary: Pros are unlimited sites, the lifetime price and a full design toolset. Trade-offs are the learning curve, extra AI costs and Divi 4 timing questions.

Performance and ease of use

This section reports documented facts and credited creator observations. We haven’t run speed or timing tests.

• Setup (official): Download Divi from your Elegant Themes account and upload it to WordPress.
• Setup time: Not measured.
• Learning curve: Not measured.
• Darrel Wilson’s view (beta): Too many options per element, and Flexbox groups are confusing at first.
• Websites 4 Beginners’ view (an independent course wrap-up video, August 23, 2026): a steep learning curve, and some bugs in presets and variables after updates, but a fast builder and a strong lifetime price.
• Documentation (official): A Help Center, a Divi 5 blog course and many official videos. We did not judge their depth.
• Mobile: Responsive editing is built in. The official course and most tutorials we found teach desktop-first, then adjust down.

Performance

• Creator’s claims: Darrel Wilson calls the builder faster. He shows no benchmark.
• Our measurements: None. We haven’t run speed tests, so we don’t report speed numbers.

Support

• Official: 24/7 customer support on yearly plans and lifetime support on Lifetime. Divi VIP on Pro promises support “in 30 minutes or less”.
• Creators’ views: Darrel Wilson calls support “actually useful”. Websites 4 Beginners describes frustrations with VIP support.
• Our test: Geekett tested Divi hands-on, but support is not rated in this review.

Pricing quick glance

Official, from Elegant Themes’ join page and AI Agent page, checked October 12, 2026. Prices in USD.

• Divi: $89 billed yearly ($7.42/mo).
• Divi Pro: $277 billed yearly ($23.08/mo).
• Divi Lifetime: $249, one payment. No Pro services.
• Divi Lifetime + Pro: $297 today, then $212 a year for Pro services.
• Divi AI on its own: $193 billed yearly ($16.08/mo), or $21.36/mo billed monthly (“Discounting Divi AI For A Limited Time”).
• Refunds: “Try Divi risk-free for 30 days.” Full refund, “no questions asked”.
• Savings wording: Conflicts on the page (69% on the Pro card vs 58% in the FAQ). Not used.

Our arithmetic from the official prices, assuming the yearly price stays at $89, which is not confirmed.

A candid course wrap-up: learning curve, update bugs and VIP support frustrations, plus praise for the builder speed and lifetime price. Its description lists the creator’s own affiliate links, including for Divi; we don’t share them.

In a nutshell

Our take: Divi makes the most sense for freelancers and agencies who build many sites and want visual control over every part of them.

The Lifetime plan is the strongest value point: $249 once for unlimited websites. Add Pro only if you need AI, cloud storage, team seats or VIP support.

Expect a learning curve. If you run Divi 4 sites, test the Divi 5 migrator on a copy first, and check how long Divi 4 support will last.

Rating

Divi rating: 4.3/5 (★★★★☆, shown as 4 stars). This rating comes from Geekett’s hands-on testing, with facts checked against official docs and credited reviews: a deep toolset and strong lifetime value, held back by a busy builder and a learning curve.

Geekett tested Divi hands-on. We scored each category from 1 to 5, using official information and the credited sources for the facts. Support is not rated in this review.

How the weights were redistributed: Support’s 20% was removed, leaving 80% across the three rated categories. Each remaining weight was divided by 80%:

• Feature set: 40% ÷ 80% = 50%
• Ease of use: 20% ÷ 80% = 25%
• Value: 20% ÷ 80% = 25%

Weighted score: (4.5 × 0.50) + (3.5 × 0.25) + (4.5 × 0.25) = 2.25 + 0.875 + 1.125 = 4.25, rounded to 4.3 out of 5.
